The difference between plastic fresh-keeping boxes and cling films

In today's world where living standards are improving, people's demands for food are also increasing, and freshness is highly valued. In this regard, plastic wrap or plastic preservation boxes are always essential at home. But there seems to be more research on which foods to use and how to preserve them.
A professional nutritionist has indicated that not all foods are suitable for using cling film. Freshness preservation mainly involves "water retention," "quality preservation," and "nutrient maintenance." In this regard, the effectiveness of cling film is good. Fruits and vegetables with high moisture content are more suitable for using cling film, such as apples, pears, tomatoes, rapeseed, chives, etc. It can not only keep them fresh for a long time, but also add some nutrients to them.
By comparison, the fresh-keeping bag is thick, and its air permeability is not very good. It is relatively suitable for some flour products such as Mantou, but try not to close the mouth when using it.
The main function of plastic fresh-keeping boxes is to seal, which is more suitable for fresh, cooked, hot, and oily foods, especially meat. It can effectively isolate and store raw and cooked foods, increasing the utilization of refrigerator space. But if these foods and cling films are touched, it is easy to make the chemical components contained in their materials evaporate and dissolve into the food, which is bad for health. It is worth mentioning that not everything is suitable for preservation tools. Vegetables like potatoes, due to their inherent characteristics, can be stored directly in a cool place.
